Happy Labor Day!
Last week's lessons were filled with fun, learning, and a special focus on the new friends that we are making this year. We are using kind words and actions that build others up. We ended our week with Friendship Fruit Salad. We had fun sorting, counting, graphing and eating the fruit. Delicious! Thanks for your help with this.
I have enjoyed watching our class work together during large group and small group activities. Our Reading and Math rotation stations are going well. They have enjoyed writing in their Journals and working on our amazing ocean mural!
The class will also begin bringing home Book Bags next week. The Book Bags will contain a book for them to practice reading at home. Please continue to spend time reading to and with you child. Encourage them to read their book to you daily. Spend time helping them practice. This class loves books! They have enjoyed having their very own Book Boxes at school and I know they will enjoy sharing their Book Bag with you at home.
